Do you have a dog that you really love but they can also be a nightmare!

They don't listen to you when you need them too, they jump all over your guests and you feel like all you do is apologise over and over again for your dog's behaviour.

You wish you could do more with your dog, like go to family picnics with them / visit your child's sporting events / taking them to the beach, but they make it so challenging by pulling on the lead, barking at everything, getting over-excited or defensive that you end up just getting frustrated and wishing you hadn't bought them?

Yet feel guilty when you leave them at home...because you should do more with them.

If you answered yes to any of the above and have been imagining a life with your dog where they behave in a polite manner and listen to you anywhere (at home, on walks, in public e.g., at the local market, at the vets), then the Excel program is the way forward to making this dream a reality!

In the Excel program, we will be focussing on teaching your dog to:

Greet people politely without jumping, barking or mouthing

Stop interacting with something when you ask

Choose appropriate behaviours around food instead of trying to steal it

Wait at doorways (e.g., front door, car door, side gate) instead of barging through

Walk politely on lead without pulling (inside and outside the home)

Come back when called on lead (inside and outside the home)

To be comfortable with you holding their collar and guiding them, when needed, without putting on the brakes and mouthing

Go to their bed when asked and stay there until given permission to leave

Going for walks close to your home and public places (e.g., local market) to assist in transferring the polite behaviours learnt at home to outside the home, in public

Listening under high levels of distraction

This program is typically completed in about 8 lessons and includes:

In Home Private Lessons which come with a range of benefits: Less distractions so easier and quicker for your dog to learn and focus on the training, more personalised help for you and your dog, easier for you because you don't need to travel anywhere (other than the outside walking practise), I can see your dog's behaviour within your home giving you in the moment feedback.
Walk and Train Sessions: I will come with you for a walk so, I can guide you ever step of the way whilst out in public, you feel more confident because I am there to back you up. Quicker results because I can help you implement the training techniques in the real world.
High Distraction Sessions: visiting more challenging settings in your local area (e.g., cafe, outdoor market, picnic) so that you can feel confident to take your dog anywhere
Exercise Handouts and Video Examples: so that you don't forget what to practise in between lessons.
Resource Videos: on important topics like how dog's learn, toilet training, bringing home a new dog, practise training session top tips & crate training so you can set your dog up for success.
Lifetime Support: 12 months access The Whole Canine's private facebook group. In the group you can ask questions and send videos of exercises for feedback so you can continue to get help from me, for an entire year. Emergency behavioural support via phone, email or text so that we are with you for your dog's whole life. Plus two free virtual or in person refresher lessons, available after the program finishes, if you unexpectedly need additional help with your dog.* T&C Apply
